COPPER PLATE ETCHING 101 - 7/20-21

Learn how to etch a copper plate using ferric chloride. This is a comprehensive introduction to the copper plate etching technique including how to prep your copper plate, apply ground, etch using ferric chloride, and print your etching using our etching press. Attendance is required both days. Pre-requisite for etching 201.

SCREEN PRINTING 101 - 8/24

Learn how to use the darkroom, burn a screen, print a screen print, reclaim screens, and use screen printing equipment. This class is a pre-requisite to using Laika to screen print.

CYANOTYPE PRINTING 101 - 9/29

In this hands-on, outdoor workshop, we’ll guide you in making a cyanotype print. This is a walk-in workshop, so stop by anytime between 12-3p. This is a simple printmaking technique where you place objects onto photosensitive paper, then expose the paper using the sun. Kid-friendly, so feel free to bring your young ones!
